I am a professional proofreader specializing in court transcripts. I have completed the Transcript Proofreading: Theory and Practice™ course, and with that training I am able to ensure your clients are getting the highest quality transcripts.
Along with tailoring my corrections to your personal style and preferences, I follow the principles found in Morson’s English Guide for Court Reporters, The Gregg Reference Manual, and Margie Wakeman Wells’ Bad Grammar/Good Punctuation.
My schedule is flexible, so I have the availability to complete your regular, rush, and daily jobs quickly. I have time in my schedule to become your full-time proofreader or a backup, but am also able to accept intermittent jobs.
I proof in PDF format using iAnnotate, in MS Word using the “track changes” feature, or by creating an errata sheet, per your preference.
I also proof with audio. Files are accepted in WAV or MP3 format.
I am retired from the U.S. Air Force, and in those 25 years I learned discipline, professionalism, and the value of hard work. I held a top secret security clearance during that time so I am very familiar with the confidentiality aspect of your job and I am aware that it carries over into mine as well. I have experience with terminology in medical, law enforcement, and the construction and engineering fields.
